I play a non-standard acoustic guitar. I't a Dell'Arte 14D gypsy jazz guitar. It's a sweet guitar but definitely different than the "normal" acoustic tone. I think it works well for Dead stuff, I like how the low strings bite. This was a fun show. We had our old bass player, Steve. It's always fun to play with him. He was using my Kemper Profiler with a Eden WT800 profile that sounded pretty sweet. The pickup is a Schertler DYN-G into a Schertler Unico amp to the PA.

While I love Garcia's acoustic playing I was never a huge fan of the piezo pickup tone of a lot of his live stuff. Anyone else out there using anything cool?
